Why should you use the eThemisID application?

Requirements for application submission

  • European lawyer must be able to authenticate him/herself against an identity provider which is a part of an e-identification schema notified under EIDAS and provides high level of assurance (LoA) in terms of establishing or asserting the identity of a person.

Requirements for lodging procedural document

  • European lawyer must be able to authenticate him/herself against an identity provider which is a part of an e-identification schema notified under EIDAS and provides high level of assurance (LoA) in terms of establishing or asserting the identity of a person.
  • European lawyer must possess a valid qualified digital certificate for signature which is placed in QSCD and issued by an eIDAS certified Qualified Trust Service Provider
  • European lawyer must be able to prove that he /she is a lawyer.
  • European lawyer must submit a document certifying that he/she is authorized to practice before a court of a Member State. He/she is also notified that the document should be e-sealed. If not possible it should be e-apostillised. If the latter form is also not possible, it should be apostillised. In that case the original document should be sent by the Registry of the Court. Failure to comply with above requirement may render the procedural document lodged inadmissible.
